Small to medium, evergreen shrub with thick, leathery, obovate leaves. Leave base attenuate, leave tips emarginate, 7 cm long and 3 cm wide in clusters at the end of the shoots, dull-green above, paler beneath, reddish petioles. Flowers with creamy-white petals in leaf axils, 1.5 cm wide, appear in July.
