Deciduous dense shrub up to 1.5-2 m high. Fern-like foliage: leaves alternate, triangular, 2-6 cm long, 1.5-5 cm wide, deeply lobed, toothed. Apex acuminate. Lamina light green, turning reddish in autumn. Inflorescences in terminal panicles in June. Flowers about 5 mm across, whitish. Quite hardy.
