A small shrub up to 2 m high with arching stems. Elliptic leaves up to 6 cm long and 2 to 2.5 cm wide, blue-green beneath. Small greenish flowers in Juli and August, male flowers in panicels, female flowers single. Globular greenish or brownish fruits 5 mm wide.
