Small, evergreen shrub, with glossy foliage. Leaves elliptic, dark-green, 3-5 cm long. Flowers with cream coloured anthers with red tips, very fragrant. The flowers open during late winter until spring. Fruits shining black. The Sarcococca succeed in any fertile soil also in shape.
