Quercus variabilis (39195 octets)
Deciduous tree up to 30 m high in the wild. Conspicuous gray corky bark. Leaves elliptic to ovate-lanceolate, 8-20 cm long, 2-6 cm wide, dark glossy green and glabrous above, grayish tomentose beneath. Apex acuminate to acute, margin bristle-toothed extending the nerves. Acorns globose to ovoid, 1.5-2 cm long. Cupule covered by long subulate scales. Hardy.
