An evergreen, medium-sized or large tree. In Germany mostly a medium-sized shrub. The leaves
are leathery, dark green above, greyish beneath; on young plants they are toothed, later entire.
They are variable in size depending on growing conditions and age of the tree. In Germany only
for mild areas. Growing in all well-drained soil.
