Quercus marilandica (46335 octets)
Deciduous tree about 6-15 m high. Young shoots and young foliage are covered by a brown-orange stellate down. Leaves broadly obovate, 6-20 cm long as broad. Lamina tough, entire or with 3 more or less incised lobes, dark glossy green above, paler with brown hairs especially on veins beneath. 1-2 ovoid acorns, 2 cm long, striate, covered by the cup on the half of their size. Hardy.
