|Punica granatum L.|
A medium-sized or large shrub with oblong leaves, deep shining green, yellow in autumn.
In late summer and early autumn there are growing up the spectacular scarlet or orange-red flowers.
The fruits require a long, hot summer in which to ripen. In our localities they grow seldom. Only for the mildest
and sheltered localities.
