Small evergreen densely branched shrub about 1-2 m high. Twigs very thin, dark brown. Leaves linear-oblong, entire, 1-3 cm long and 3-5 mm wide on young plants, smaller (0.5-1.5 cm x 0.5-2 mm) on older plants. Axillary flowers solitary or in small clusters, 5 mm across, yellowish-white in May-June. Fruits rounded and hairy. Tender but good for maritime exposure.
