Deciduous small shrub about 1 m high. Leaves alternate, narrow-lanceolate, entire to irregulary toothed, 4-12 cm long, dull green above, grayish beneath. Inflorescence in conspicuous terminal compound corymbs, in July. Each flowers lilac about 0.8-1 cm across with a yellow disk.
