A spreading evergreen, slow growing shrub, until 1.5 to 2 m. The white, witch-hazel-like flowers are produced during Februar and March. The leaves are alternate, ovate, until 4 cm long with short, hairy stalks. An interesting shrub, only for mild and sheltered localities.
