|Dipelta yunnanensis Franch.|
A small deciduous shrub up to 2 m high. Leaves opposite, entire, ovate-lanceolate, 5-12 cm long, 2.5-5 cm wide, long acuminate. Lamina dull green and slightly hairy above, more downy, especially on nerves beneath. Young twigs quadrangulate. Up to 4 conspicous flowers in terminal clusters in May. Corolla bell-shaped (narrowed at the mouth), 2-2.5 cm long, creamy white to pale pink, with orange markings in the throat.
