Deciduous small shrub up to 150 cm. Semi-woody, erect, striate stems with trifoliate leaves. Pale lilac flowers in large panicels during summer, followed by flattened, lobbed and very hirsute pods. Obovate leaves between 5-6 cm long and 3 cm wide.
