Cotoneaster giraldii (50406 Bytes)
Deciduous shrub up to 2.5 m high. Leaves thin, ovate to elliptic, 2-3 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, dark and dull green above, whitish tomentose beneath. Base rounded. Inflorescence in May-June, in erected clusters with 3-9 pinkish flowers. Fruit obovoid, red, about 7-8 mm across with two seeds. Quite hardy.
