Cotoneaster arbusculus (55764 octets)
Deciduous shrub to small tree up to 6 m high. Leaves thin, elliptic to elliptic-oblong, 2-5.5 cm long, 1-2.5 cm wide. Base cuneate to obtuse, apex obtuse to sometimes acute or rounded. Lamina glabrous and dull green above, lighter and slightly pubescent at first beneath. Small white flowers 8-9 mm across, with purplish anthers, in axillary corymbs, in May. Fruits ovoid to subglobose, 7-8 mm across, purplish-red, with two seeds inside. Hardy.
