|Cotoneaster bacillaris Wallich var. affinis Hooker|
Deciduous shrub to small tree up to 5 m high. Leaves elliptic to obovate-oblong, 4-10 cm long, 2-5 cm wide, glabrous, dark and dull green above, paler with scattered hairs beneath. Inflorescence with numerous white flowers in umbellate corymbs 3-5 cm wide. Flowering in May. Conspicuous subglobose fruits, dark purplish to black, about 8-10 mm across, with two seeds inside. Quite hardy.
