| A large shrub or small tree with
arching branches.The shrub has long
( until 10 cm), lanceolate, alternate,
dark-green leaves. The flowers are
produced on the twigs of the last
year; they are produced in compact
clusters, perhaps 2.5 cm across. The
flowers are 8 mm long, delicately
fragrant. The shrub is growing in
every soil in sunny places. Hardy.
