A small tree up to 10m high with a unique appearance. The branches are long, spidery, with dark green leaves.
They are ovate to lanceolate with a broad basis, spine-tipped, 2,5 - 3,5cm lang. The leaves are alive 10 - 15 years. The cones
are globular, 10 - 18cm long, taking 3 years to mature. This is the only Araucaria, which is growing in center of Europe. the
tree needs a little moist, fertile soil and humidity in the air.
