Deciduous tree up to 15-20 m in cultivation. Leaves opposite, deeply five-lobed. Each lobes long pointed and doubly toothed. Lamina 8-15 cm long as wide, light green above, silvery-white beneath, turning yellow in autumn. Leafstalk reddish. Small greenish-yellow flowers in February-March. Samara 3-6 cm long, ripe in June.
