Deciduous small tree up to 10-15 m high. Trunk bark and branchs very beautiful : lustrous green striped with white. Leaves ovate to oblong, unlobed. Margin irregularly serrate. Lamina 8-15 cm long, dark green and glabrous above. Base heart-shaped to rounded. Foliage turning bright yellow to orange in autumn. Samara up to 3 cm long. Quite hardy.
