Conifer reaching more than 50 m in its habitat. Long and drooping branches. Needles linear to sickle-shaped, 1-1.6 cm long, pointed at the apex, glaucous, blue-green. Needles shorter, triangular, more scale-like and overlapping on mature tree. Male and female flowers on the same plant. Cones ovate to globose, 8-12 mm long, with 2 seeds under each scale.
