Sinojackia xylocarpa (35604 octets)
Deciduous shrub to small tree in the wild. Leaves alternate, glabrous when mature, elliptic to elliptic obovate, 3-16 cm long, 2-7 cm wide, light green, serrulate. Apex acuminate, base cuneate to rounded. 3 to 5 flowers in axillary leafy racemes. White flowers about 2-2.5 cm across, with 6-7 petals, connate at base. Flowering in May. Fruit ovoid, yellow-brown, 2 cm long, with a conical to subglobose apical beak. Slender pedicel 1-2.5 (3) cm long. Seems to be hardy.
