Deciduous small tree 4-5 m high. Young shoots gray-brown, tomentose. Leaves alternate, trifoliate, 12-35 cm long, 10-32 cm wide. Foliole sessile, entire or slightly wawy toothed, elliptic-ovate to lanceolate, dull green above, lighter and softly pubescent beneath. Long and downy leafstalk, 8-13 cm long. Flowers in greenish corymbs. Hardy.
