Premna microphylla (32925 octets)
Deciduous shrub, of slow growth in Europe, much branched, becoming a small tree in its habitat. Branchlets gray-brown. Leaves opposite, very variable in shape, ovate, elliptic or obovate, margin entire or lobed to serrulate on the upper half. Inflorescences in terminal panicles. Small tubular yellow flowers 8-10 mm long with a purplish spot in the throat. Fruit globose dark purple.
