Deciduous shrub of rounded habit. Leaves trifoliate, with a long and slender stalk, 4-9 cm long, 4-7 cm wide, glabrous, dark green. Leaflets oval to obovate with a rounded apex. Flowers yellow, fragant, about 2 cm long, in terminal racemes in May. Hardy.
