Deciduous climber, very variable. Leaves opposite, long stalked, ovate to lanceolate, 5-21 cm long, 2-7 cm wide. Lamina, dark green above with scattered hairs, paler and densely tomentose beneath. Apex acuminate, base slightly cordate, rounded to truncate. Inflorescence in axillary and terminal cymes. Flower tubular about 1,5 cm long. Corolla white, purplish inside, with 5 lobes with crispate margin. Flowering in July-August. Fruit rounded, orange. Hardy.
