Cotoneaster turbinatus (62228 octets)
Evergreen shrub 2-3 m high. Young shoots reddish, arching and downy at first. Leaves elliptic, 2-6 (9) cm long, 1-3 cm wide, dark dull green above, grey-white tomentose beneath. Apex obtuse to acute, mucronate. Small white flowers with purplish anthers, in axillary corymbs, in July. Fruit globose to top-shaped, 5-7 mm across, bright red, pubescent, with two seeds. Hardy.
