|Cotoneaster hupehensis Rehd. & Wils.|
Deciduous shrub 2 m high, with long arching shoots, downy at first. Leaves elliptic to ovate, 1.5-4 cm long, 1-2.5 cm wide, thin, dull green and glabrous above, tomentose beneath. Apex obtuse to acute. Base rounded. Inflorescence in small clusters of 5-12 white flowers, about 1 cm across, in May. Fruit globose about 1 cm across, bright red, with two seeds. Hardy.
