Deciduous climber.Twigs angular and downy. Leaves pinnate up to 25 cm long. 7-9 ovate leaflets, slightly pubescent, dark green above, paler beneath, deeply toothed, often 3-lobed. Flowers in axillary erect panicles, bell-shaped, about 1,5 cm long, yellowish, fragant, with 4 reflexed sepals. Flowering from August to October. Hardy.
