Deciduous small shrub with erected branches. Young shoots (as the leaves beneath and the inflorescence) glandular-pubescent and aromatic. Leaves alternate, lanceolate, blue-green, 3-10 cm long, 0.7-3 cm wide, finely bipinnate. White flowers about 1-1.5 cm across, flattened petals with above a cluster of yellowish stamens; in terminal leafy panicles up to 15 cm long. Flowering in July. Quite hardy.
