Caragana brevispina (45402 octets)
Spiny deciduous shrub up to 3 m high. Shoots downy when young. Leaves pinnate, 2.5-10 cm long. 8-14 leaflets, elliptic, rounded at the apex, dull green above, paler beneath. Rhachis persistent, prickly, about 6 cm long. Flowers pale yellow turning orange, up to 2.5 cm long, (1)-2 to 4, on a long slender stalk, in May. Pod dark brown, 5 cm long. Quite hardy.
