Camellia irrawadiensis (25490 Bytes)
Evergreen rounded shrub. Leaves elliptic, leathery, glabrous, 8-12 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, acuminate, serrulate, dark glossy green above, paler beneath. Flowers often in pairs at the leaf axils, about 4.5 cm across in March. 8 or 9 white orbicular petals. Numerous stamens with yellow anthers. Not full hardy.
