Deciduous large climber. Stem dark-green. Leaves heart-shaped, downy at first, glabrous after, dark green above, paller beneath, up to 30 cm long. Flowers axillary, long stalked, alone or in pairs, tubular, pipe-shaped, 3-4 cm long, yellowish-green, limb 3 lobed, flat, brown-purple in the orifice. Flowering in May-June. Hardy.
